Greetings St. Augustine Family,
Today, we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Easter. In the Gospel we hear Jesus say, "I am the vine, you are the branches". As disciples, He tells us that those who remain on the vine will bear much fruit. Before his life-changing conversion, Saul of Tarsus persecuted the early church. But after his conversion and baptism, Saul became the great Apostle Paul who boldly preached the Good News of the Gospel! Paul’s life and message still bears fruit today for all who believe and receive the message God gave him. The Scriptures today assure us that if we keep God’s commandments we will remain in the Lord, connected to the vine and bearing much fruit!
We offer a special prayer for the children of our parish who will receive First Holy Communion at the 10:00 a.m. Mass. May they always know the peace of Jesus, the light of His love, and the joy of His love.

We greatly appreciate those of you who have continued your financial support of the parish. A brief update on replacing the Heating and Air Conditioning in the Church: The required bids from three companies will be secured by the end of next week. Then we will submit them for review by the Archdiocese. Once that process is complete, we will choose a contractor the work should begin without delay. We anticipate the cost to be in the range of $250,000. We will update you on how you can support our fundraising efforts when we secure the contractor and final pricing.

Message from Our Local Shepherd
Cardinal Archbishop Wilton Gregory is urging Catholics to receive the COVID 19 Vaccines as soon as it is available to them. He himself is fully vaccinated and hopes that we will do the same. Our pastor, Fr Pat will be receiving his second shot THIS Monday and also urges to do the same! Thank you for doing all you to make the COVID 19 pandemic far behind us!
